Insurance — illegal foreclosure

Within three years, the premiums for all the three years were paid though in some cases belatedly. After that, premium for further 8 months were also paid in lump sum. The company has illegally foreclosed the policy on the ground that medical tests etc were not conducted by the policyholder and refunded the amount after deducting huge sums. What is the remedy?
